Last night (April 29) marked the 17th (!) annual Webby Awards, and it was quite a night for some of pop music’s big names. Frank Ocean was named Person of the Year for last year’s Tumblr post about his sexuality and his interaction with fans via Tumblr and Twitter. As for Artist of the Year, that went to Grimes, and there’s arguably nobody better at making music feel like the Internet, all chaotically swirling and hypnotizing. The electro-pop enigma is one of Web music’s biggest success stories, and she recently broke her online silence with a Tumblr screed against sexism in music.

Music rapper Pusha T saysKanye West initially offered him the beat to “Niggas in Paris,” but he turned it down. “[Kanye] sent me some stuff that I don’t always feel. It happens,” Pusha said. “Then he’ll go out of his way to prove you wrong. And he does sometimes… ‘Niggas in Paris.’”
